A Scottish fold kitty! I love them! This is the most stern appearing of them I've ever seen, however. Usually they wear a a wide-eyed and inquisitive expression on their pusses.

Is that what he is? I presumed he was a rather podgy Russian Blue.

The ears are decidedly those of a Scottish fold. But he might have some Russian Blue in him. Certainly the coat is similar. But the ears are a dead give-away. Scottish folds come in all types of coats. It's the ears that define them . . . and their adorable personalities. I've always wanted one.

Yup. That's a Scottish Fold alright. My cousin adopted one as a refugee from the San Diego fires last year (the cat, not my cousin). It's the funniest of things -- greets you with a "wassup?" instead of the usual meow. Kind of creepy, actually.

I am enormously taken with the idea of a cat that goes `wassup?' instead of `miaow.' And he has a lovely face.
