Subject: the fifth foot drops
Security: Public
Breaking news from the Islands Of Lost Feet. A fifth foot
has been found near Vancouver. Unlike the other four, this one is a left foot, which at least means there's a possibility that it matches one of the ones already found and doesn't herald another victim.
The ever-so-slightly-spooky Dr Ebbesmeyer has spoken up on the subject again.

What is it about the Pacific Northwest that it produces such grisly serial murders? There was a pig farmer arrested a few years ago in British Columbia who was abducting prostitutes and grinding them up with his pork products. Icky.

We've been following this story since...oh, I don't know, how long has it been, guys? Since before Christmas? Since it was just three feet, anyway. One theory is that these feet belong to the victims of a plane crash that happened a few years ago. There were five people on the plane and only one body was ever recovered, which is why the appearance of a left foot is significant. If it does turn out to match one of the right feet, then there's an increased possibility that they indeed come from the crash victims. If it had been another right foot, or it doesn't match the existing feet...serial killer. If they are from the plane crash, there are three more left feet still out there somewhere waiting to wash ashore.
I know the case you mean. Robert Pickton, found guilty of six counts of second-degree murder but may have killed another twenty to forty working girls. He cut up his victims and fed them to his pigs.

Robert Pickton is indeed the name. I read where he also barbecued and served human flesh to his friends, telling them it was pork.
