If you've been at all interested in film over the past thirty-odd years, the chances are you've seen and admired the work of Stan Winston, simply one of the greatest effects men ever to work in the film business.
And what can I say about Cyd Charisse, except she was one of the best dancers I ever saw on screen.
Giants have passed.

They're dying off, sad to say. Kinda makes one feel as if a big portion of one's youthful past is disappearing . . .

Edward Scissorhands' makeup was brilliant. I'm sad to see both of these fine giants pass. As sarcobatus said, it does make "one feel as if a big portion of one's youthful past is disappearing." Well said. One of the downsides to outliving others....

I'm trying really hard to think of any other downsides, but I can't.

Well, it usually involves living longer than everyone else, which is absolutely salted with downsides. On the other hand, it does have one enormous upside.
