news from the islands of lost feet

I've been remiss in checking the Seattle Times over the past week or so, and I missed this news that one of the feet has been positively identified. Apparently DNA testing has established that it belongs to a man from the Vancouver area who went missing a year ago suffering from depression. So, one foot down, four to go. Two of them have been identified as belonging to one chap, another to a woman. There also seems a faint hope that there may be a connection to a human skeleton found on another island last year, missing an arm and both feet, but DNA testing will have to be used, which takes time. Once again, I have to speculate that the Pacific Northwest is a passing strange place.
