Deck the halls, roll out the barrel of Real Ale, sing hey-nonny round the maypole, send someone to Tesco's for that rum Selkie likes so much in her daiquiris, put the kettle on for Thog's decaffeinated (snigger) tea, pour Lili a Guinness and give her all the chocolate she needs, and pray essay the ancient Line Dance Of Greeting (as performed only in certain parts of Essex around the time of the Chartist Riots) for lilifae is among us!
Welcome, Liz.

And can I bring Memphis-style barbecue?

Indeed you can; the one thing we've been lacking is someone versed in the black arts of barbecue. I just tend to burn everything and then shout, `It's your own fault for making me cook!'

Then I'm also bringing my famed tandoori turkey. Turkey so moist, you can clench a handful of white meat in your fist and feel the juice running down your arm.

Then I'm definitely sharing. You know, we should arrange a real-life party one of these days, just so we can eat and drink until we pop.

That sounds as though it'll hit the spot very nicely. Is the recipe a state secret?
Actually, now you mention it, it says something for the people who gather here that, while we are always well-provisioned with drink, this is the first time (apart from Lili's chocolate) that anyone's mentioned food. Anyone else want to bring some eats?

*looks around the room*

All I have to offer is about half a large packet of McVities Rich Tea, and an almost-full bag of Haribo 'Tangfastic'.

But you're all welcome to partake, naturally.

And welcome, Liz. :-)

I'm not sure we should let the Haribo near Thog; the E numbers might not be good for him. But the Rich Tea will go very nicely with the packet of Tetley's Teabags I have about my person. Many thanks.
