For some reason, and I honestly couldn't begin to tell you why, this suddenly popped into my mind today. I last saw it back in the mid-1980s on the Max Headroom show, and when I googled `Jesse Rae' there it was on YouTube, just as barking mad as I remember it. Enjoy.

What's the name of the loch in the video? The castle is famous, and Loch Ness comes to mind, of course.

Good video.

As seen, if my memory serves me, in pretty much every film where the director wants to show a Scottish castle, from Highlander to The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes (my favourite Holmes film.)

I've never been up there; it's around Kyle of Lochalsh, isn't it?

Let me guess. None of the multiple places in Yorkshire included Sheffield. *presses back of hand to forehead* It's coming through now...you did Whitby. You did York. You did teh pretty in The Dales.

Yep, I forgot Fountains Abbey.
No, Whitby's on the coast - Dracula country. Herriot Country's sort of on the western edge of the North York Moors, out Thirsk way, a few miles north of York.
How on earth did you wind up staying in RAF VOQs?

I'm also tempted to make an off-colour joke about Tingewick, but I'll leave that to Thog, if he's watching.

That's very interesting. What a very civilised arrangement; I didn't know that kind of thing went on. I'll bet it was RAF Leeming.
So you and Lili are both USAF brats (excuse the
expression)?
