Nah, just kidding. Here's some pics of the cats.
This is Kuron, named after Jacek Kuron, the Solidarity leader he resembles a bit.

This is Dougal, named after Dougal from The Magic Roundabout.

And this is Kasia, which I'm reliably informed is Polish for `Kitty.'

There now, wasn't that nicer than reading me whining about plasterers or the media?

LOL, from the look on those faces those are cats you DO NO WANT TO FORGET when it's feeding time.

:)

Cute, what breed are they?

And Oh My God, Magic Roundabout. And to think I was once the proud owner of a Magic Roundabout Christmas Annual

Boing!

"Time for bed," said Zebadee.

They're all Persians and they're all really sweet-natured, although Kuron is a bit of a drama queen when you try and brush him, and doesn't like going to the vet at all. Dougal is so chilled-out it's not true.
Magic Roundabout's coming back, apparently.

Really? LOL I thought they banned it because of implied sex, drugs and rock and roll :)

I don't think they ever banned it, but I think Eric Thompson did have a little fun with the stories. ;)

No you don't, although I do too. Apparently it's an urban myth that those two characters were in the series, although one that's so widespread that everybody `remembers' them.

LOL yep There's been several news items of my youth which are now urban myths. Odd isn't it?

Don't worry about it; I sometimes think my entire childhood was an urban myth...

Sweet-tempered? Those cats look like they've got real attitude. LOL Must be those Persian faces. :-) Hugs, Jean Marie

A couple of years ago, Dougal had something called pyothorax, which is like pneumothorax but with a bacterial infection instead of air. He was very very sick and we took him up to the Royal Veterinary College Hospital about twenty minutes' drive away in Potters Bar, where they kept him for a fortnight. Then he had another month of antibiotics which we had to give him at home.
Anyway, the doctor who looked after him said they'd never seen such a chilled cat. When we took him back up to the hospital a month or two later for treatment for bladder stones, all the intensive care staff went to visit him when they heard he was there. I like the Royal Veterinary College Hospital. I want to be treated there when I get sick.
