...yet another spurious meme!
This one is from our very own altariel, and it takes a bit of work. You answer twelve questions about yourself, and enter each answer in Flickr's search box. Pick a picture from the first three pages of results. Copy the url, and paste it into the mosaic maker (remembering to set it for three columns of four rows.)
The twelve questions are:

1. First Name:
2. Favorite Food:
3. Hometown:
4. Favorite Color:
5. Celebrity Crush:
6. Favorite Drink:
7. Dream Holiday:
8. Favorite Dessert:
9. What I Want To Be When I Grow Up:
10. What I Love Most In The World:
11. One Word That Describes Me:
12. My LiveJournal Name:

And when you've done all that, you can paste into your blog something that looks like this:

Don't forget to paste in the credits the mosaic maker gives you:

1. Dave et Meuse, 2. Pork-Chops, 3. 1983.08 Friern Barnet Psychiatric Hospital, 4. lonely planet - Maldives, 5. Kathleen Byron - Black Narcissus, 6. Bell's 8 [empty], 7. Gdansk, 8. Ice cream day dream, 9. River Typewriter, No. 2, 10. Pudge - Leave Me Alone, I'm Sleeping!, 11. Reminder to Self: Slow Down on the Caffeine, 12. Starsky & Hutch (Bethnal Green)

'Nuff said.

Small word of warning: it is a bit labour-intensive. It took me half the night; some of the pictures from Flickr have been blocked from the mosaic-maker, so I had to go back and do it two or three times. Also Flickr couldn't find a match for `hutch0' so I had to settle for hutch.

Yes, I learned the hard way: every single photo I chose was blocked, and I ended up with a blank mosaic. And while distracting myself with a mindless project for nearly an hour was therapeutic, I lost interest in the activity when I was presented with a blank slate, for all my effort.

It was fun, though. I like yours. If mine had worked out it would have been quite stunning. But alas no such luck.

I enjoyed doing it. I never really had a rummage around in Flickr before and it was interesting; I just had to keep going back and picking different images. For instance, the original `hutch' was...a hutch. With a rabbit in it. Which I thought was funny. But the pic didn't come up. Ditto the original sleepy one, which was a dormouse.

A rabbit hutch would have been perfect. What a shame . . . . But the Hutch mobile is good too. Your favorite dessert is also my favorite, ice cream; and I suspect that you chose nature or animals for what you love most, not to mention the tarsier or bush baby -- I always confuse the two -- is hilarious for the best single word with which to describe yourself. That you live in Friern Barnet Psychiatric Hospital is a no-brainer. My question for you is this: Still wearing the ruby slippers?

(I had to correct "dessert"!)

There may well have been another rabbit hutch somewhere in the three pages the meme allowed, but I'd already done the damn thing twice, so I settled for the car. Except now - literally as I was typing this - I remember that the red car with the white stripe was Starsky's car. Hutch's car was some beat-up old junker. *sigh*
The tarsier actually looks the way I feel all the time. Except when I'm asleep.
I don't actually live in the hospital. I could've chosen a pic of the Town Hall, you know. They're both residential developments now. Actually, I was quite surprised how many pics of the area there were on Flickr, although many of them seem to have been of buses. I was going to post a pic of my birthplace, Sheffield - and there were some cracking photos - but I've lived here longer than I lived in Sheffield, so I decided this was my hometown. And yes, I do still wear the ruby slippers, although they're starting to pinch.
And ice cream is my favourite desert, too, coincidentally.
