Quilting is a valid art form. And what I want to know is, why is "women's work" considered frivolous and inconsequential, as paraphrased by one of the quilters in the article. Granted, there are boring quilts out there, just as there are boring tapestries and boring baskets and boring pottery and boring paintings and boring sculptures. But these creations are still an art form, regardless of the sex of the artist or whether or not the artist was having sex while creating . . . but I digress . . .

I'm not a quilter, btw, even though pds_lit tried to convert me. :)

I have no idea why the quilter said that; in my experience women's work is far from frivolous and inconsequential. What crossed my mind is that the exhibition doesn't start till March and runs till June, which gives Pam plenty of time to work on Thog for airline tickets...
