you can tell i've just been wandering around the internet tonight rather than doing any work....

It seems that NASA have been taking a look at Mira A, a star in the constellation of Cetus, in the ultraviolet, and they've discovered that, as well as storming across the galaxy at 130 km/s, it has a tail thirteen light years long. I don't know about you, but that tickles my sensawunda. What must this thing look like close up?
