The presence of Chuck Norris on the campaign trail has not gone unremarked over here. The Observer ran what I thought was a very interesting piece about his involvement in Mike Huckabee's campaign today.
It was interesting enough in itself, but it contains a link to a website called Chuck Norris Facts, which has sustained me through a very long day of editing and generally shuffling stuff about for NW2. I'm not sure whether or not it's supposed to be ironic, but it claims to contain `facts' about Chuck Norris which the gentleman himself has approved.
My favourite is: Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
Closely followed by: Chuck Norris grinds his coffee with his teeth and boils the water with his own rage.
Mind you, it's okay for me to be amused: he isn't here...

It's known as faith-based percolation.

It's the idea of him using his own rage to boil water...
I don't know. I've had a long day.

"a very interesting piece"

Depressing, actually. A sort of testament to human stupidity.

I thought it was interesting. I thought I spotted him on the stump with Huckabee but I couldn't be sure; I hadn't heard he was into politics.

The 'Chuck Norris is the most powerful human ever' meme has been around for a while now; it amused the hell out of me too :-)

There's an older, similar internet meme with Mr T. as its subject, and another (newer than the Norris one, I believe) concerning the character Jack Bauer from the show "24".

My favourite one was Mr T vs the Borg, where the first order Picard gives upon seeing the Borg cube on his viewscreen is "Tea, Earl Grey, hot!". That tickled my funnybone in much the same way as Chuck Norris' water-boiling rage has done for you. Alas, that particular one seems to have disappeared from the interwebs.

This is completely brand new to me. Ditto the Mr T and Jack Bauer ones. Never heard of it before. As I said, I don't know whether these guys are being ironic, but I laughed out loud a number of times.
