Earlier this evening there were Underground drink parties to celebrate the last day you could drink on the Tube. Most of these seem to have been on the Circle Line, logically so because the Circle Line just goes round and round Central London. Get on any other line and you'd find yourself in Ruislip or Mordern or Heathrow or Cockfosters, facing a long ride home. At one point they managed to close Liverpool Street station.
